  • Springs are free of debris and spring tension is correct
  • End bearing and end plates are aligned and bearings are not old or worn
  • Struts are bolted to the door properly
  • Check cables and drums to ensure there is no splintering
  • Check to ensure proper door balance
  • The opener is operating properly and safely
  • Reverse and pressure sensors are operating up to code
  • Belt or chain tension is adjusted properly
  • Safety sensors are aligned properly and free of debris
  • Sensor wires are properly wired and tied out of the way
  • Top of opener is free of dust or debris
  • Chain and belt are properly lubricated
  • Belt is not dry rotted or broken
  • Chain is not rusted or broken
  • Inspect wall button and remotes
